Paul Bryn Davies has been a professional illustrator and artist all his working life. In addition to producing countless book and magazine illustrations, Paul has worked as an advertising illustrator and has had his work published as posters, greeting cards and fine art prints and his published works are now in the thousands. Fantasy and children’s subjects have been the dominant ( but by no means exclusive ) themes in Paul’s work.
Paul has also produced over 150 book jackets for some of the world’s leading authors including Stephen King for whom he has designed some thirteen covers including the author’s first No. 1 bestseller.
Paul’s work was featured in the best selling children’s series ‘ Spooksville ‘ ( by Christopher Pike ) and ‘ My Alien Classmate ( by Bruce Colville ) which was later made as a US television series. Paul is also an experienced educational illustrator and has held drawing / watercolour workshops at schools, galleries and adult art groups. As you will see from the following galleries Paul's work ranges in style to include realistic, cartoon, humourous, pastiche and heavily stylised images in both monochrome ( line ) and colour. Paul is also an experienced airbrush artist and storyboard artist.

In addition to his published work Paul’s original artworks are featured on many large scale murals in hospitals, schools, nurseries and private homes, from a small terraced townhouse to a country mansion, the largest of which measured around 8ft deep by 40 feet wide. The murals are usually painted in acrylic colours and often incorporate airbrushed special effects. Paul has created several murals for adult’s rooms and has a wealth of experience creating magical transformations to children’s rooms with his original images. These are drawn from your own photos. As well as being a humourous and unique gift these drawings often carry a ‘ potted ‘ history of the person and can include pets, hobbies, careers,even favourite sayings. Usually commissioned for special birthdays, retirements ,weddings etc. these are a gift that largely are kept for life and are easily affordable for most people.

Paul is author and illustrator of four books Watercolour Dragons, Watercolour Fairies, How to Draw Dragons, and How To Draw Fairies, signed copies of which are available from this website. A new title : How to Draw Vampires is due for publication in late 2010 and a third fairies book is now in production and is due to be published in 2011.The books are also available online at Amazon, from all good book retailers, and the publisher -Search Press.
Paul is currently working with best selling children’s author Peter J Murray on the Mokee Joe, Bonebreaker and Dawn Demon book series.
